Alphabe-Thursday - V is the letter of the day!

V is for. . .oh! I don't think I will go with the obvious (V is for me!!!). Instead, I will go with something vintage (ooh, another v!)

Do you remember Violets? This unusual little candy was around when I was little, but to my surprise it seems that it is still available today. Advertised as having a fresh sweet taste of spring violets, I seem to remember my first impression of it was "Ohh, this tastes like soap." (Yes, yes, I know, did I make it a habit of licking soap when I was a kid?) But, after a while, the taste grew on me. Being a paper fiend even as a little girl, I remember always thinking that the paper wrapping was so pretty. When I saw the pretty purple package seen here, it brought back lots of sweet memories of being a little girl.
