Mommy and child

Found this photo digging through decrepit old photo albums at one of the stalls at Art and Soul.  This vendor has a spot at Antique Village, 10203 Chamberlayne Road, Mechanicsville, VA 23116.  The reason I am giving his location is because if you do happen to have a chance to visit the Richmond VA area, the shop is located about 20 minutes away.  Whiting's Old Paper is owned by John Whiting. I have bee fortunate enough to visit his Art and Soul stall three years in a row, and each year his inventory is varied and quite extensive.  And, in my opinion, the prices continue to be very reasonable (especially in consideration that we were at a major altered art workshop and convention.) 

This photo is of a mom and her young child.  I think it is quite sweet.  The one thing about this photo is that it is centered on the diagonal, something I haven't really seen before in formal photographs of the time.    The only markings on the back are Rome, NY.
