Oh, I just love to go to B&N to see all the new children's books. I found The Secret Lives of Princesses, by Philippe Lechermeier, illus. by Rebecca Dautremer. I have looked through it several times in the last few days and each time I find something that I missed in previous reads. Each princess has an entire little history and facts and illustrations. The fact that not every princess is a perfect little pink and pearls miss makes the book even more fun. Princess PrimandProper has a pinched-in nose and mouth that, were they any tighter, her face would dissapear! Princess Claire Voyant is a lovely little thing who, though very very small, can see very very far! And, oh, Princess Hothead - the lovely spitfire that graces the cover is quite the little minx.
The book has a lot of inspiration for anyone who wants to add to their whimsey inspiration. Check it out.
I'm definately going to have to check out this book! I love B&N!!
