We all know about the little black dress we should keep in our closets - just in case.
But, what if your taste runs to something a little brighter? Something like -
a flirty red dress and red spike heels to dance the night away -
And, every woman should have a red wool coat and a red wool stocking cap to chase the cold away -
She should be a red head - at least once in her life, and wear red lipstick and nail enamel -
She should ride in a zippy little red sports car or an old red pick up truck - her own, preferably -
And, finally, she should receive a dozen long stemmed red roses - from a secret admirer-
What special something red do you especially like?
This post reminds me of my mother-in-law, who loved the color red, and wore it frequently. It was like her trademark. At her funeral, we all tried to wear something red!
ReplyDeleteCreative and colorful post for R ~ carol, ^_^
ReplyDeleteAll the reds you have look great! I'd love one of each please :o) ...as far as being a red head on me, I might get by with maybe a little red highlights in my hair.
ReplyDeleteBlessings & Aloha!
Stopping over through Ms. Jenny's Alphabe-Thursday "R"s.
Oh the flirtatious, passionate, and sometimes dangerous color of red! We all need to wear it once in awhile to unleash the wild side in us all. Fun"R" post!

I love to wear red... and I'd love that coat!!
ReplyDeleteMy old red pickup truck is one of my most treasured friends. It's always there when I need it!
ReplyDeleteRed fingernails and toenails. I used to polish my mother-in-law's nails, long after she'd forgotten who I was. It always surprised and delighted her to see them.
ReplyDeleteI would definitely wear that dress!
ReplyDeleteI think red roses are the best red there is. A red magic marker is also nice. Maybe a red door? {:-Deb
