Words, I love words. Love to learn new ones and the origins of words. So, for this weeks letter W I wanted to use the word 'word'. Then I thought about all the w words I like - watermelon and wiggle waggle, whisper, welcome, willow, wisteria to name a few. But, how to display these W(onderful) words? Enter - Word Cloud. Wordle, a site where you can make a graphic design of any group of words your wish. (OOH! Another W word!) So, here is my " W Words of Art" using Word Cloud -
You can choose a font, you can choose color combos (This one is called Organic Carrot!). You can change the direction of the words, lots of possibilities. I had a ball playing around with it.
Check out the site, it's fun. I think kids would get a real kick out of it. Also, I think it would be interesting to enter a person's name and words used to describe them or their interests. Might make a nice little piece of art work for the kids.
Ha! This is soooo cool! I will definitely try it. Great "W" post!
