The Muse is not a - musing....right now....

I've been in a bit of a rut lately with my work. Not really sure why. But, I am getting the urge to start working on an idea that I have been accumulating images, etc. for a while. About a year ago I made a little book, titled "No Bad Dogs", which features vintage and antique photos of children with Bully breed dogs. I really loved how it came out. And, now I am getting ready to start working on a book about standard poodles. I adore dogs and really enjoy working with vintage photos featuring them. So, if you by any chance happen to have any images of poodles with or without kids (vintage and antique) that you would like to share please let me know.

And, this is one of the delights of my life - Maggie, my standard poodle. She is an absolute clown. Here she is having a little rest with 'Joe Duck' her favorite toy.

  2. Verna, I have been on the lookout for some poodle pics myself. Everyone thinks of poodles as a "French" dog, but they are not featured in antique postcards very often. I have ONE (only one!) listed in my Etsy shop and I can think of one other but it's just an illustration. However, I'll dig it out and see if it's something you can use:) Great idea by the way and I'd love to see your "book" technique. Do you bind it, use notebook rings, or ???

  3. Hahaha! Bind it? I am lucky if I can tie my shoes and have them stay tied! I am not sure what I am going to do with this one. The first one is tied with ribbons. It is a tiny book. I will scan it so you all can see it.

Poodles are German dogs. The name comes from the word 'puedling' (water, puddle) as they were used as water fowl hunting dogs.

I am off to check out the Etsy shop!
