Tuesday is Mardi Gras Day in New Orleans -floats and parades will make their way throughout the city in celebration of the last day before the season of Lent begins. The Saints won the Superbowl this year and have given New Orleans even more reason to rejoice! Laissez les bon temps rouler!
This is a pic of me at a Mardi Gras parade in 1957. Sitting on top of Daddy's car, I had one of the best seats on the route - Throw me something Mister!!!!!

ReplyDeleteYes I do remember then. People were very much courteous to each other. Remember people used to bring step ladders for the kids to sit on?
